All “Next Gen” (Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii) game consoles (as well as many PC’s) can provide surround sound game audio, whether 5.1 or 7.1. In order for you to get the best gaming experience here are some suggestions on how to arrange your speakers.
5.1 SPEAKER LAYOUT
This layout is suitable for games which support 5.1 DTS Digital Surround (for example, PS3 game titles).
For best results try to place the speakers at ear height, and we recommend selecting speakers with matching timbre and tone, allowing you to hear all of the action of the game.
7.1 SPEAKER LAYOUT
This layout is suitable for games which support 7.1 DTS Neural Surround (from PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii).
This layout means you get a 360 degree experience with game audio elements coming at you from in front, the side and behind, placing you at the center of the action.
