Len Lloyd joined DTS in February 2009 as Corporate Vice President and Managing Director of DTS Licensing Limited based in Limerick, Ireland.
Prior to joining DTS, Len was Director of Regional Business Development, Marketing and Support Services at Xilinx EMEA (Dublin, Ireland) from 2006. Xilinx is the market leader in FPGA IC and system solutions for diverse markets ranging from fixed and wireless communications to consumer and automotive. Len joined Xilinx from ARM ( Cambridge, UK) where he served as Director of multimedia and systems IP marketing group manager. ARM is the market leader in advanced processors, IP and solutions for the wireless, portable electronics and computing markets. Len is credited with the successful ratification and public release of several platform-based multimedia standards which have attracted adoption and support worldwide by customers in the mobile segment.
Prior to joining ARM, Len was Vice President of US Business Development for Silicon & Software Systems Inc. (San Jose, CA), a Philips Corporate Technologties company, where he oversaw the rapid expansion of the company’s Digital Consumer IP licensing business in North America from 2000 to 2005. Len started his career in the semiconductor industry with Philips Semiconductors (Eindhoven and Nijmegen, NL) where he spent twelve years working in a variety of senior regional and international marketing roles, primarily in the digital consumer sector. Len earned his Bachelor of Microelectronic Engineering degree from Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin. Len also holds a degree in Pure Mathematics from TCD.
