The time has come for surround sound everywhere! In the past couple of years, there has been a significant growth in the availability of tier 1 content on the web that can be streamed directly to CE devices for immediate consumption. At the same time, from mobile handsets and cars to gaming systems, Blu-ray® players and televisions, connected devices have grown considerably. Thanks to the explosion of content, we now rely more heavily on streamed content for our entertainment.

To meet the demand for streamed content with surround sound, SRS developed SRS 5.1™ Surround Sound. With SRS 5.1 users can experience significantly improved movie and TV experiences with HD quality surround sound that matches the HD picture.

Because millions of TVS, A/V receivers, PCs and mobile phones today feature one or more SRS audio solutions, most of these CE devices are natively equipped with the capability to decode SRS 5.1 surround encoded content, resulting in a “Surround Everywhere” entertainment experience.
