The integration of the DTS-HD Encoder™, DTS-HD StreamPlayer™, and DTS-HD StreamTools™ create a simple, fast workflow for using DTS-HD™ and DTS® streams on your project (The following steps are the same for all types of media):
- Export your final mix as multiple mono files (e.g. Left, Center, Right, etc....)
- Import audio files into the DTS-HD Encoder, select desired parameters, and click to Encode. This will output a single encoded file and a log file for reference. The file is ready for import into a compatible authoring system
- DTS recommends a Quality Control (QC) pass to verify audio/video sync, check downmixes, verify Primary and Secondary Audio mixing (BD Only), etc. Import the encoded audio file(s) and a QuickTime™ Video into the DTS-HD StreamPlayer for a comprehensive QC check
- Import your encoded file into a third party authoring system which will MUX (multiplex) the DTS audio, video, as well as other elements (e.g. graphics, games) for a master disc
- If post-encode changes are required, DTS-HD StreamTools allows editing of streams without the need to re-encode. In addition, when using lossless DTS-HD Master Audio™ streams, Peak Bit-Rate Analysis assists with project bit-budgeting
