Ideally, when creating a 7.1 track for a standard or 3-D Blu-ray Disc™, the original engineers remix the film using the original audio tracks. Sometimes that just isn't possible. Some elements may only exist in stereo and others in 5.1. Enter the Neural UpMix plug-in, transforming these existing tracks to 5.1 or 7.1 with amazing clarity and imaging.

Preserving the Original Mix

Neural UpMix is designed to preserve the intent and quality of the original mix. Unlike other technologies that are based on phase and intensity methodologies, Neural UpMix will not alter the spectral or timbral balance of the content and will properly downmix in the consumer environment. The result is a pleasing and well-balanced track that preserves the original 5.1 theatrical mix during downmix from 7.1.
