Broadcast
DTS creates technologies designed to bring loudness and surround sound consistency to all audio broadcasts.

Broadcasters worldwide have utilized DTS audio technologies.
Loudness Control
As consumers continue to voice their displeasure with varying loudness levels while watching broadcast media, broadcasters are faced with the challenge of protecting artistic intent while creating consistent audio levels for their audience. Recent legislation in many countries has increased pressure on broadcasters to implement a loudness solution to solve these issues.
DTS Neural Loudness Control addresses loudness concerns in real-time using perceptual loudness measures to automatically correct loudness that falls outside of acceptable tolerances. The result is audio with a natural, open quality that falls within the ITU BS.1770 standard.
Surround Sound Workflow Technologies
DTS Neural Surround™ is the bridge between stereo and surround sound audio. Products with the DTS Neural Surround logo allow for seamless conversion between stereo and surround sound audio through the capture, edit, management and broadcast process.
DTS Neural Surround™ UpMix technology can output 5.1 or 7.1 multi-channel audio from stereo or 5.1 source material.
DTS Neural Surround™ DownMix technology can output stereo or 5.1 material from 5.1 or 7.1 multi-channel source audio.
DTS Neural Surround™ MultiMerge technology guarantees surround sound for broadcast audiences, regardless if the original content is stereo or discrete 5.1 channels.
